"Instagram está lejos de la realidad", es el mensaje que envía la nueva moda de la app, en la que 'influencers' reconocidos recrean una foto de su cuenta donde lucen con maquillaje, sobre una que los expone como son verdaderamente.

La idea es mostrarse dentro y fuera de Instagram, con el objetivo de concientizar a los jóvenes sobre la supuesta perfección (inalcanzable) que se exhibe en redes, y que sólo vive allí a través de los filtros. 

El primero que lanzó la iniciativa fue el maquillista "@dom.skii" y rápidamente le siguieron muchos otros, así como diversos internautas que han compartido su imagen con el hashtag #InstagramVsReality (#InstagramVsRealidad).
