La serie ‘Watchmen’ de HBO lidera las nominaciones al Emmy con 26 candidaturas incluyendo mejor miniserie, misma lista en la que compiten ‘Unorthodox’, ‘Creedme’, ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ y ‘Mrs. America’.

El show basado en la obra de Alan Moore es seguido por la comedia ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel', con 20 nominaciones; se espera que entre estas dos obras se defina la ceremonia que tendrá lugar el próximo 20 de septiembre del 2020.

‘Ozark’ queda en tercer lugar junto con ‘Succession’, ambas con 18 nominaciones; por último, ‘The Mandalorian’ de Disney+ dio la sorpresa con 15 nominaciones. El Netflix ha sido la plataforma que más nominaciones ha recibido con un total de 160, rompiendo el récord de HBO del 2019 quien recibió 137.

No obstante, para este 2020 la casa de 'Game of Thrones' y 'Westworld obtuvo 107, seguida por la cadena NBC con 47, ABC con 36 y FX con 33 nominaciones, mismas que fueron anunciadas hoy 28 de julio a las 10:25 a.m hora de México.

Los encargados de llevar a cabo el anuncio de los nominados al Emmy fueron el Josh Gad, Laverne Cox, Tatiana Maslany y Leslie Jones. Para el evento del 20 de septiembre será Jimmy Kimmel quien tenga la batuta por tercer año consecutivo.
